Install & Setup

Install Agno

We highly recommend:

Create a virtual environment

Open the Terminal and create an ai directory with a python virtual environment.

mkdir ai && cd ai

python3 -m venv aienv
source aienv/bin/activate

mkdir ai; cd ai

python3 -m venv aienv
aienv/scripts/activate

Install Agno

Install agno using pip

pip install -U agno

pip install -U agno

Install Docker

Install docker desktop to run apps locally

If you encounter errors, try updating pip using python -m pip install --upgrade pip

To upgrade agno, run this in your virtual environment

pip install -U agno --no-cache-dir

If you have an existing agno workspace, set it up using

ag ws setup

To reset the agno config, run

ag init -r

This does not delete any physical data
